The Aesculap GT606D is the DLC-coated replacement cutting head for Akkurata and Vega clippers. It combines three adjustable cutting lengths with a Diamond-Like Carbon surface that helps reduce friction, resist wear and corrosion, and retain the cutting edge during regular use.

GT606D or the standard GT606?

The standard GT606 blade offers the same three settings and fitting. The GT606D adds the DLC surface treatment; it does not change the available cutting lengths. Both suit Akkurata and Vega models using this dedicated cutting head, including the Akkurata cord/cordless clipper.

Check the exact model and blade before ordering. This head uses a different mounting from Favorita and A5-style SnapOn blades.

Fitting and blade care

The head detaches without tools for replacement and cleaning; follow the clipper instructions. Use Aesculap clipper oil regularly, remove caught hair and monitor temperature. DLC coating does not remove the need for lubrication or cooling. Clean and dry after use, and replace the set when blunt. Coat texture, direction and comb settings affect the finished length.
