Description
The Andis UltraEdge No. 10 blade is a professional detachable clipper blade for close, smooth grooming. Leaving approximately 1.5mm (1/16") of coat, it is one of the most useful everyday blades for prep work, hygiene areas and use beneath attachment combs.
Made from carbonised steel with a chrome-plated finish, the UltraEdge No. 10 is built for reliable cutting performance, durability and rust resistance. Its full-tooth cutting edge delivers a neat, even finish and is suitable for regular professional use when correctly cleaned and oiled.
What is a No. 10 blade used for?
A No. 10 blade leaves approximately 1.5mm of hair. It is commonly used for:
- Hygienic trimming and sanitary areas
- Pads of the feet
- Underbody and belly work
- Face and ear work, depending on breed and coat condition
- Close preparation work before using attachment combs
- General clipping where a short, tidy finish is required
Because it is a close-cutting blade, care should be taken on sensitive, irritated, folded or matted skin. Always check blade temperature during use and avoid applying pressure.
Fits detachable-blade clippers
This blade fits Andis detachable-blade clipper models including:
AG, AGC, AGP, AGRC, AGCL, AGR+, AGRV, DBLC, MBG and SMC.
It is also compatible with many other detachable-blade clipper systems, including:
- Oster A5 and Oster 76 clippers
- Wahl KM series clippers
- Other professional clippers designed for A5-style detachable blades
Compatibility can vary between models, so please check your clipper accepts standard detachable A5-style blades before ordering.

Blade care
For the best performance, oil your blade before, during and after use. Remove loose hair regularly and use a suitable blade cleaning solution where needed. If the blade becomes hot, stop clipping and allow it to cool before continuing.
Regular cleaning and lubrication will help reduce drag, improve cutting performance and extend the time between sharpening.
Need help choosing a blade?
A No. 10 blade is a close-cutting, all-purpose professional blade. For a longer finish, consider a No. 7F, No. 5F or No. 4F blade. For very close veterinary or surgical-style work, a No. 15, 30 or 40 blade may be more suitable.
