The Andis UltraEdge No. 10 is a close-cutting dog grooming blade with a nominal cutting length of 1.5 mm. Experienced groomers use this size for preparation work, including paw pads and hygiene trimming where a close cut is appropriate. It is also a practical spare for compatible clippers supplied with a No. 10 blade.

Is a No. 10 the right length?

A No. 10 leaves more coat than the No. 15 blade at 1.2 mm. For a longer, short body finish, compare the No. 7FC at 3.2 mm. Choose the length for the individual dog, coat and area being clipped; a close blade calls for particular care around skin folds.

Fits compatible Andis detachable-blade clippers, including AGC models and the Andis Pulse ZR II, plus Oster A5 machines. Check your clipper's blade fitting before ordering; fixed-blade clippers and trimmers use different systems.

Blade care and coat preparation

Work on a clean, dry, thoroughly brushed coat. Oil the cutting surfaces with Andis Clipper Oil before and during use, check blade temperature frequently and stop if the blade becomes hot. Remove trapped hair and dry the blade before storage. The finished coat length varies with coat type and clipping direction.
