Selecting a specialist close blade

The No. 40 cuts closer than the CeramicEdge No. 30 at 0.5 mm. Choose it with the individual animal's skin and the clipping task in mind, and use particular care around folds and delicate areas. The UltraEdge No. 40 gives the same nominal cut with a steel moving cutter.

Clipper compatibility

Fits compatible Andis detachable-blade clippers, including AGC models and the Pulse ZR II, plus Oster A5 machines. Check the blade system on your clipper before ordering.

Care for your CeramicEdge blade

Use a light, controlled technique on a prepared coat. Lubricate with Andis Clipper Oil and check blade temperature frequently. The ceramic cutter helps reduce heat build-up compared with steel, but the blade can still become hot. Let it cool before continuing, then remove hair, clean and dry it after use. Cutting length is nominal.
