The No. 7/8 is the blade's size designation; it does not mean that it leaves 7/8 inch of hair. Its nominal cut is 0.8 mm. For a standard-width close blade, compare the 0.5 mm No. 30 GT317. Machines using the Favorita system need a different fitting, such as the narrow Favorita GT772.

SnapOn clipper compatibility

Fits A5-style SnapOn machines including the Aesculap FAV5 and Durati. Check the exact blade system on other clippers before ordering. Favorita-system machines use a different mounting and cannot take this blade.

Blade care and preparation

Prepare the coat before clipping, lubricate the teeth regularly with Aesculap clipper oil and remove hair build-up. Check blade temperature throughout use and allow cooling when needed. Clean and dry the blade before storage. Finished length varies with coat texture and clipping direction.
