Choosing your Fine Coat King

The 10- and 12-blade heads share the Fine grade. “Fine” describes the blade spacing, not a promise that the tool suits every fine-haired dog. Choose according to the coat's texture and condition; the Extra Fine range offers closer spacing for suitable finer coats and finishing work.

If wider coverage is useful, the Fine wooden-handle Coat King includes a wide 23-blade option.

Replacement heads and use

Use the matching Fine replacement blade set, checking grade, blade count and head width. This replaceable-head tool is different from the fixed-blade Home version.

Work gently through a clean, dry, prepared coat in the direction of growth. Avoid forcing the blades through mats or repeatedly working one area.
