The Heiniger No. 30 clipper blade cuts to approximately 0.5 mm, giving a very close finish for specialist grooming work. It is considerably shorter than a No. 10 or No. 15 and should be selected deliberately, with the coat, skin and clipping area in mind.

Close clipping and comb attachments

The No. 30 can be used beneath a suitable comb attachment, but only where that comb's manufacturer approves this blade size and fitting. The blade's 0.5 mm rating is not the finished length when a comb is attached. Check the comb instructions rather than assuming every attachment will fit.

For more coat coverage, compare the No. 15 blade (1.2 mm). The No. 40 blade (0.25 mm) cuts closer still and is a specialist alternative, not a routine upgrade.

Compatible machines and maintenance

Fits Heiniger Saphir and Heiniger Opal clippers; not Style Mini or Style Midi trimmers. Keep the fine teeth clean and lubricated using suitable clipper oil and blade-care products.
