The Andis UltraEdge No. 30 is a very close-cutting detachable blade with a nominal length of 0.5 mm. It is a specialist addition to an experienced groomer's kit for work that calls for a substantially shorter finish than a No. 10 or No. 15.

Using a No. 30 blade

Used directly on the coat, this blade cuts very close to the skin. For a less close result, compare the 1.2 mm No. 15. If using an attachment comb to leave more length, check the comb manufacturer's approved blade size and fitting first; browse our Andis attachment combs for the available options.

Clipper compatibility

Fits compatible Andis detachable-blade clippers, including AGC models and the Andis Pulse ZR II, plus Oster A5 machines. Check your clipper's blade fitting before ordering; fixed-blade clippers and trimmers use different systems.

Blade care and coat preparation

Prepare the coat thoroughly and use a light touch during close clipping. Keep the teeth lubricated with Andis Clipper Oil, remove accumulated hair and check blade temperature regularly. A hot blade must cool before it touches the animal again. Actual coat length depends on preparation and clipping direction.
