The Andis CeramicEdge No. 30 is a very close-cutting grooming blade with a nominal length of 0.5 mm. The ceramic moving cutter helps limit heat build-up compared with steel, while the detachable design makes blade changes straightforward on compatible clippers.

Direct clipping and guide combs

Used directly on the coat, a No. 30 cuts much closer than the 1.5 mm CeramicEdge No. 10. It calls for experienced, controlled handling. If you plan to use an attachment comb for a longer finish, check the comb manufacturer's specification for this exact blade size and ceramic cutter; fit should not be assumed from the clipper alone.

Clipper compatibility

For compatible Andis detachable-blade clippers, including AGC models and the Pulse ZR II, and Oster A5 machines. The UltraEdge No. 30 is the steel-cutter alternative at the same nominal 0.5 mm length.

Care for your CeramicEdge blade

Keep the teeth lubricated with Andis Clipper Oil, clear caught hair and check for heat throughout use. Ceramic can run cooler than steel but still needs regular temperature checks. Clean and dry the blade before storage. Actual coat length varies with preparation, texture and clipping direction.
