Red Akkurata styling for controlled finishing work
The Special Edition Aesculap Akkurata pairs a red finish with a compact, adjustable cutting head. It is suited to smaller clipping jobs on dogs and other small animals, including tidying the neck, belly, head and face.
Cord/cordless operation lets you choose how to work: move freely on battery power or connect the supplied lead for mains use. The approximately 250g handset is useful when shaping areas that call for careful positioning.
Length choices on the handset

Three blade settings: 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5mm.

40mm cutting width: for localised clipping and finishing.

Five included combs: marked 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20mm.

Tool-free blade removal: detach the cutting head for cleaning.
Follow the manual when combining a comb with a blade setting, as the two lengths work together. Choose the combination for the amount of coat you want to retain.
Standard and DLC replacement blades
The Akkurata uses a dedicated adjustable head. Choose the standard Akkurata blade or consider the GT606D DLC blade for added resistance to wear. Neither Favorita nor A5-style SnapOn blades fit this model.

Is it different from the white Akkurata?
It has the same adjustable blade, combs and cord/cordless operation. The difference is the red Special Edition finish.
How long does the battery last?
Around 100 minutes per charge, according to Aesculap's published specifications. It can also run from the mains with the cable connected.
How long does it take to charge?
About 60 minutes.
Which blades fit the Akkurata?
Only the Akkurata's own adjustable cutting head: the standard Akkurata blade or the GT606D DLC-coated version. A5-style SnapOn and Favorita blades don't fit.
What lengths can it cut?
The blade adjusts to 0.5, 1.5 or 2.5mm. The five supplied combs (4, 8, 12, 16 and 20mm) give longer lengths when combined with a blade setting.
