The Heiniger No. 7 skip-tooth clipper blade leaves approximately 3.2 mm of coat. Its spaced tooth pattern offers experienced dog groomers an alternative for working through suitable thicker or curly coats before finishing the clip.

Skip-tooth or full-tooth?

The Heiniger No. 7F blade gives the same nominal 3.2 mm length with a full-tooth layout for finishing. Choose between them by tooth pattern and grooming technique, not by expecting a different length. For a longer full-tooth body clip, consider the No. 5F blade at 6.3 mm.

A skip-tooth blade cuts the coat; it does not hand-strip or pluck it. The more open tooth spacing requires particular care around folds and delicate areas. This is a blade for experienced users, and should not be used on cats. Do not force it through tight matting.

Compatibility and upkeep

Fits Heiniger Saphir and Heiniger Opal clippers, not the Style Mini or Style Midi. Keep the teeth clear, oil regularly and check blade temperature during work.
