The Aesculap GT748 is a coarse-tooth Favorita blade with a nominal cutting length of 3 mm. It is suited to experienced grooming on coarse or wiry coats where a short clipped result is wanted and a more open tooth pattern is useful.

A coarse 3 mm cutting head

The GT754 fine blade gives the same nominal 3 mm length with a different tooth pattern. If you need a closer coarse cut, the GT736 leaves 1 mm. Choose the teeth for the coat texture as well as choosing a length; clipping a wiry coat is a different grooming method from hand stripping.

Favorita clipper compatibility

Fits Aesculap Favorita 2 and Favorita CL clippers with the dedicated Favorita mounting. FAV5 and Durati machines use the separate Aesculap SnapOn blade system. Check the model and mounting before ordering.

Blade care

Prepare the coat and take particular care around skin folds and delicate areas. Follow Aesculap's tension instructions, keep the teeth clear and check temperature throughout clipping. Lubricate regularly with Aesculap clipper oil, allow a hot blade to cool, and clean and dry it after use. The finished length varies with preparation and clipping direction.
