Description
The Aesculap Econom II GT511/GT501 blade set leaves a nominal 1 mm for close horse and cattle clipping. It combines the GT501 upper cutter with the finer-cutting GT511 lower comb, for experienced operators who need less retained coat than a standard 3 mm set leaves.

A closer alternative to the standard set
The GT502/GT501 set leaves 3 mm. Although both sets use the GT501 upper cutter and a 31-tooth lower comb, the comb references and cutting heights differ. Use the GT511 code to identify this 1 mm version rather than relying on tooth count alone.

For the Aesculap Econom II with a clipping head specified for this plate combination, including the GT474 model. Check the exact model and head before ordering. These plates use a different system from Favorita and A5-style SnapOn cutting heads; compatibility with other brands must be checked by model.
Fitting and maintenance
Prepare the coat and follow the manual when fitting the plates and setting tension. Oil regularly with Aesculap clipper oil, clear accumulated hair and check blade temperature during work. Allow a hot set to cool, then clean, dry and oil it before storage. Coat type and clipping direction affect the final length.
