INSURANCE. Our responsibility for customers' tools ceases once they have been handed to the Royal Mail and their receipt obtained. The maximum compensation payable by the Royal Mail on an ordinary letter packet is £24. To obtain additional cover up to £250 there is an extra charge of £3.50 on top of the standard postage charge.
