* Hinge should stay open when blades are removed, ready to receive the next one. * If it shuts too easily, it should be replaced. |

* Small black hook which fits under the hinge, holds the blades onto the clipper when in use. * If broken, blades may lift off the clipper in use, so it should be replaced. |
