Which thinning scissors would you recommend the chest on my male 18 month old Irish Setter? Thank you.

Diamond Edge says: Thanks for your enquiry. Most Irish Setters, with a fine, silky coat will require a fine toothed thinning scissors for thinning the chest hair.
Spinone.

Diamond Edge says: We would suggest the fine tooth pitch for a Spinone coat - either the 12 blade, or the wide, 23 blade version.

alias.chandler@icloud.com

Hi....I have decided to groom my 6lb Yorkie myself. Videos I have watched on Youtube suggest using a thinning double-sided shear for his beard and mustache. The reason seems to be to soften the edges at the bottom of his beard so it doesn't look choppy and blunt. In other words just to soften the look. I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Any recommendations would also be appreciated. My little boy has silky hair as opposed to cottony. His body is shaved in summer with a 7FC blade then his legs/feathers graduate into 'bell bottoms'. His topknot is left long as is the rest of his face. I want to shorten the length of the beard. I don't ever trim around his eyes or the sides of his face. So mainly it's the angle and length of his beard.
Thank you for any advice
Victoria

Diamond Edge says:

We would suggest a small-sized double-serrated thinning scissors for the purpose you describe. The Roseline model 82052 or Pro Cut Turbo would be ideal for thinning detailed areas. This link: http://www.diamondedgeltd.com/thinning-scissors-for-dogs-c102x3063019 will take you to thinning scissors in our online shop where you can view entire range.

dear all i see that for irish setters you recommend XFW30M10 but i cannot see it in the shop. may you please show me the link?

our 8yrs old irish setter has, unfortunately, had to be neutered last june and i notice the hairs are growing more curly mainly on the back and legs. I have been suggested to look for a mars king coat tool to manage his coat, since it will likely change,.. Is this still the best model?
thanks a lot and best regards
silvia

Diamond Edge says: The wide, extra-fine 30 blade Mars Coat King is the correct tool for the fine Irish Setter coat, with the medium 10 blade model for the feathering on the legs. These can both be found in our online shop: http://www.diamondedgeltd.com/wooden-handle-c102x3063040

I'm getting ready to pick up an Airedale puppy in June, and pertaining to removal of its undercoat and dead hair - if I could only purchase one Mars Stripping device, should i buy a 23 Wide Blade, 20 Blade, or FW23? Thanks

Diamond Edge says: Our Mars Coat King Guide suggests using a wide, 23 blade fine tooth version for an Airedale terrier, but you might consider starting with a smaller 12 blade fine tooth for the puppy.

What Mars Coat King would you recommend for Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla please

Diamond Edge says: We would suggest a wide, fine tooth 23 blade Coat King for a Vizsla coat. You might also consider the smaller version - same tooth pitch but with 12 blades which may be easier to groom through the coat.
